The Phantoms:

Original:

Name: Vera Ingrid
Age: 29

Bio:Vera Ingrid is the leader of the Street Phantoms of New New York, Earth. After the fall of Jammerhead she took control with her second in command named Sequence. She was born in Uptown New New York but ran away at the age of 22 before she could graduate with a degree in Engineering Physics. She struggled to survive in Downtown for three years before she met Sequence and the Phantoms at the age of 25. Sequence sponsored her into the gang and protected her ever since. After the fall of Jammerhead, Vera tried to get Phantom street cred back by arranging a series of sixteen consecutive attacks around the city with the final one being in Uptown. Along the way she met up with mercenary Torbin Zix who not only saved her from prison, but her life as well.

Random facts: She likes hugs, cookies, and annoying people (mainly Zix). She’s manipulative, beautiful, and has a hard time trusting people. She made the Phantoms into a sort of tight-knit family instead of a gang. They’re still perceived as a gang to the outside world but to each other, they’re a family. She’s been in the Phantoms for over four years.

Name: Sequence (Seek)--Matt
Age: 33

Bio: Sequence was born in Downtown New New York. His little sister Katie was killed when she was eight on the way to school by a blaster bolt. He and his best friend Trick (Ryan) ran away from home and lived on the streets. Eventually they joined the Phantoms and became part of the gang. When Sequence met Vera he saw a little of his sister Katie in her and eventually brought her into the gang. He protected her from a violent initiation and the other Phantoms. When Vera took over leadership he immediately became her second in command, creating an almost perfect team. Vera keeps the family together and Seek keeps everyone in line.

Random facts: Seek is overprotective of Vera. He won’t let Vera date. He hates all mercenaries and he gets angry very easily. He’s been a Phantom for over eight years.

Name: Skirter
Age: 30

Bio: Skirter is an alien and grew up in Downtown on the same street as his friend Tacky. Most of their family was pretty close. When Skirter was seventeen he and his dad went to go check on Tacky’s home because there were weird noises coming from it. They found Tacky, beat up and bleeding. They took him to the hospital and Skirter’s dad went to face Tacky’s dad on abusing his kid. Tacky’s dad killed Skirter’s dad. His mom died a short time later and he was out on the streets with Tacky a few years later. Eventually they both joined the Phantoms.

Random facts: Skirter loves to flirt and considers himself a gift to all women. Usually his flirting just earns him a slap or Sequence trying to beat him up all the time. He’s very good with blades and has been a Phantom for over six years. His blood is dark gray and he has two hearts.

Name: Tactic (Tacky)
Age: 25

Bio: Tacky grew up on the same street as Skirter. His mom used drugs and his dad overlooked the fact usually. Tacky found her dead from an overdose when he was ten years old. His dad then started using drugs and began to have violent fits and beat his son. When Skirter and his dad found him and took him to the hospital, Skirter’s dad confronted Tacky’s dad and Tacky’s dad killed him. From there, Tacky blamed himself and continued to think that that if he asks for someone’s help it will only wind up hurting them. He was in the foster care system for awhile before he finally ran away at sixteen and lived on the streets with Skirter. He developed a brotherly relationship with a girl named Justitia. Eventually he joined the Phantoms a year and a half after Skirter

Random facts:Tacky is a hothead that gets angry easily but has a soft spot for Link (Justitia). He likes to flirt like Skirter and they usually plan something devious during Christmas. Once they even got Sequence drunk. He’s a fighter but he likes his new family. He’s been a Phantom for about five years.

Phantoms as of 'Betrayal has a name':

Name:Soot
Age:19

Bio: Soot grew up in Downtown with his little brother and close to his best friend Jano. His dad used drugs and his mom tried to get him to stop. Soot saw his dad kill his mom and tried to run away with his little brother but his dad killed his little brother while Soot was still holding his hand and trying to run. Ever since then he’s lived on the streets with his best friend Jano. Eventually Vera and the Phantoms found Jano injured and supported by his best friend. They were brought into the Phantoms after the fall of Jammerhead.

Random facts: Ever since joining the Phantoms, Soot’s usually quiet nature went away and he became a joker. He loves to needle his best friend about his girlfriend and he loves to play pranks.

Name: Jano
Age:20

Bio: Jano grew up near Soot and they’ve been best friends since they were kids. He came from a broken home. They ran away together and tried not to look back. They looked out for each other on the streets as best as they could and tried to survive. He was brought into the Phantoms injurred and with his best friend Soot.

Random facts: He’s a hothead and will try to beat others up if they make fun of him. Despite his tough front he has a sort of romantic side. He has a girlfriend Callie and had Vera teach him how to dance so he could impress her. He had mild dyslexia as a kid and he gets really upset if someone makes fun of it.

Name:Copybara (Copy)
Age:21

Bio: Copybara is an alien who might have some Qu’Atorian blood in him. He has long deft fingers and is really good with medical stuff. He’s the Phantom’s ‘medic’ and he has a very calm temperament. He actually wasn’t born on Earth but his family moved there to escape the ongoing strife between his species and Skirter’s. He’s very quiet but very caring of his family and Vera who he’s constantly trying to patch up from her ‘adventures’.
Random facts: He may be peaceful but he’s very good with a blade. There used to be a lot of friction between him and Skirter because they’re species’ have been at war for a long time. He’s good at stitching wounds up and treating burns but he’s never done anything like surgery.

Name:Entrec
Age:20

Bio:Entrec grew up in a huge family with a lot of brothers and sisters. They needed every half-cred they could get and those who weren’t old enough to work were sent out into the city to try and get small under the radar jobs. They were so poor that when winter came around and someone got sick… they usually didn’t get better. Eventually Entrec got sick of this and ran away… wanting to know if his brothers and sisters would look for him. They didn’t and so he stayed on the Streets until the Phantoms found him.

Random facts: He has a cousin named Engol which he brought into the Phantoms. Entrec is good with tech and he likes to spy on his sisters most times.

Name:Mino
Age:20

Bio:Mino grew up in a poor home with three sisters from different fathers that didn’t seem to want their children. He basically grew up without a real father. His mom died when he was fifteen and he and his sisters were put in an orphanage. He and his sisters were split up one by one until only he was left. He left the orphanage when he was eighteen before they could kick him out. From there he joined the Phantoms only spending a few months on the streets.

Random facts: Mino is level headed and used to dealing with girls because he grew up with three sisters. He still likes spying on Vera and the girls for fun. He enjoys needling Switch about liking Kendio and can be known to joke frequently.

Name: Switch
Age:18

Bio:Switch grew up not really knowing his real parents. His dad’s still alive but he never sees him. His dad wanted to keep him but thought he’d be better off living with his aunt and uncle. His aunt was verbally abusive and his uncle turned physically abusive and even held Switch against a burner for trying to fight back. Switch still has scars on his back from that. He ran away when he was thirteen and lived on the Streets until the Phantoms found him.

Random facts:Switch has a sort of heroic streak to him. He doesn’t like when others are hurt and doesn’t think there’s any excuse for hurting another. He likes Kendio and has tried to hide it from his brothers but failed miserably. It’s rumored he’s Vera’s ‘favorite’ little brother.

Name:Kendio
Age:17

Bio:Kendio grew up like any normal child until she started reached puberty and her father began to sexually abuse her. Her mother pretended not to notice what was happening to her daughter. Kendio has a few scars on her cheek from the abuse. When Vera found her she immediately latched onto the leader but when she saw the Phantoms were all male save for Vera she tried to run again but Vera got her through it. Finally when Link was brought in, Kendio began to heal from what happened to her.

Random facts: Kendio is part of Vera’s ‘trio of evil’. She looks up to Vera as what a woman should be and sort of wishes her mom had been like Vera. Under Link’s influence she helped try to get Zix and Vera together romantically though it failed miserably. She likes Switch but is hesitant to pursue a relationship because of what happened to her.

Name:Justitia (Link)
Age:15

Bio:Link’s mother is the leader of a terrorist organization called ‘the Revolution’ that has been trying to overthrow the government for years. Her mother’s name is Bellona and she doesn’t tolerate weakness in anyone around her, especially not her daughter. Link grew up around violence, drugs, and blasters her whole life though she formed an attachment to Tacky as a child. Her father was killed before she really knew him. With the help of Tacky and the Phantoms she eventually escaped her mother who was put on trial and came to live with them.

Random facts:Link is the youngest Phantom and the baby of the family. She is the ring leader in Vera’s ‘trio of evil’ and she thinks everything is a romance novel. She’s bossy and manipulative but gets away with it. She tends to bring out the best in people and is constantly looking for hugs.

Newer Phantoms as of 'River of Glass':

Name:Aklin
Age:18

Bio:Aklin grew up as a middle child with an older brother and younger sister. His older brother started getting into drugs. His older brother was supposed to be watching his younger sister but he was too high and the sister was accidentally killed. His parents were struck with grief and were killed by a gang when they couldn’t afford protection money for their business because they wanted to give their daughter a funeral. Throughout all of this, no one seemed to ask Aklin if he was okay. He was found by the Phantoms a little after ‘Cross the Line

Random facts:Aklin doesn’t really share his feelings often. He never complains and he doesn’t usually ask for things. He thinks sharing feelings is for girls. He’s usually seen with Neil who is his friend. Recently he’s become Vera’s ‘apprentice’ and he calls her ‘sensei’.

Name:Tano
Age:20

Bio: Tano is a large teal, dragon-like alien. He was born on earth but not in New New York. He migrated from Chicago to New New York. He’s pretty tough and has a few tattoos. He met Litos on the street and they reached a sort of understanding. They didn’t exactly look after each other but they agreed not to try and hurt the other. Sometimes they’d work together to steal something or if the other was in over his head they’d help out. Tano was the one who convinced Litos to join the Phantoms in the first place.

Random facts: Tano is pretty intimidating but, though he won’t admit it, he loves the family atmosphere. He’s actually not that good with tech but he’s getting better. He’s mostly a fighter.

Name:Litos
Age:22

Bio:Not much is known about Litos because he doesn’t reveal it. He grew up being used to violence, killing, and disposing of bodies. He was sixteen the first time he killed someone. He’s lost many people along the way—including someone he loved to suicide. After all of this he vowed never to care about someone for the rest of his life. He was the last of the newer Phantoms to join in late September 2105. He didn’t exactly conform to the way the Phantom’s did things and it’s led to a lot of strife. He has mentioned someone by the name of Isabelle that apparently means a great deal to Litos but nothing more is known of her. He's presumed dead by all who knew him.

Random facts:Litos is Italian and can speak the language fluently. He’s rough, unapproachable, mean at times. He’s never fully been trusted until after ‘Flag of Destruction’. He's very good with money. Umberto is his godfather.

Name:Seng Jia (Heron)
Age:17

Bio:Heron grew up alongside her brothers who were in a gang called the Kura. The Kura are a gang of dangerous people of Asian descent who are quite skilled in martial arts. Heron’s parents were also part of the gang but were killed when she was young. In her initiation into the gang, one of her tasks was to kill a rival gang member. She couldn’t do it and the Kura were about to kill her when Vera rescued her from them.

Random facts: Heron is the most level headed girl of the ‘trio of Evil’. She can speak fluent Chinese and she looks up to Vera as a hero. Heron has constantly wanted Vera’s approval and really admires her.

Name:Engol
Age:20

Bio:Engol is Entrec’s cousin and was the first of the newer Phantoms to be brought in. His species of alien usually have large families with a minimum of six children. Entrec and Engol never really met as children though they knew each other’s names. Entrec also ran away from home though for different reasons than his cousin. Engol found him one day on the street and tried to bring him and even went to Seek to try and get Vera to let him in.

Random facts:Engol and his cousin formed a pretty close bond once he was brought into the Phantoms. He’s good with tech and he and Entrec helped Vera hack into Jammerhead’s tech.

Name:Neil
Age:18

Bio:Neil grew up not knowing who his dad was. His mom was always bringing in new men to their house but none of them ever stuck around. All of them usually treated her and her son like crap. He tried to stay in school as long as he could but he eventually dropped out once he got to high school. He lived near an alien gang that didn’t like humans all too much so grew up in constant fear. He met Aklin as a kid and always tried to be friends with him, but Aklin was always too introverted. Neil never really liked his mom and thought she should concentrate more on working than trying to find another boyfriend. Eventually he left after he had enough. He and Aklin later joined the Phantoms.

Random facts:Neil has a pretty good head on his shoulders but he can get a little crazy at times. He’s always looking after Aklin even if he doesn’t show it. He thinks it’s not ‘manly’ to show emotions.
