I realized that I might need to have a topic where I list all the stories in the assassin series, and show a bit how it is organized.

Here is the list of all the stories currently in the Assassin series, that is are part of the canon.

First of all, the main stories of the Assassin series:

A broken hero: A story that details how OT-Leonardo was first time attacked and abused by the assassin. Introduces the OT-Turtles into the assassin series.
Not a long installment but considered part of the main story. Prequel to Shattered Shells

1) Turtotopia: The first fic. The New Toon crew encounter for the first time two of the main villains. Emperor Donatello and Assassin Leonardo. And important allies are introduced, Cyborg Raphael and Turtotopia April.
The first long installment.

2) When the assassin strikes: Assassin Leonardo returns. introduces the third villain, Sinda as well as the Assassin's brothers, the assassin's servant Tony, Luna and Michelle.
The Second long installment. Direct sequel to Turtotopia

Encounter of the offworldly kind: A story that involves the Movie turtles. They get a taste of things to come as an interdimensional crime lord mucks around in their world.
A long installment and considered part of the main story but does not have an official number. Prequel to the fifth instalment and a remake of Otherworldly meetings.

3) Shattered Shells: The dark crossover, mixes together the OT and the NT turtles. Introduces Demolisher Raphael, Luna's child and two clones.

Part 2
The Third long installment. Direct sequel to A Broken Hero and semi-sequel to When the Assassin Strikes.

4) The Nightmare codes:Magistrate Raphael must investigate dangerous worlds and enlist his friends to aid him.
Part 1

The Fourth long installment. Direct sequel to Shattered Shells.

Double encounter: The movie turtles go on a vacation with their friends from "Encounter of the offworldly kind" and meet old enemies on the way.
A long installment and considered part of the main story but does not have an official number. Remake of Love of other worlds and kind of a sequel to "EOTO".

5) Chaos in the Underworld: Assassin Leonardo and his accomplices become involved in a potential war between interdimensional crime lords

Upcoming Long instalments (so far planned)

The Secrets of the Assassin: NT-Leo, OT-Leonardo, Movie-Leonardo and Rogue decide to finally get to the bottom of what exactly happened with their black-clad counterpart. A post-Chaos fic. Not an official long instalment but considered part of the main story.


Mirage (working title): The Assassin plays a cruel trick on his brothers, on top of that six year old Apollo and seven year old Michelle get transported away to an Alternative Universe, where the TMNT all wear red masks. The sixth official long installment.

A tale of the next generation(working title): Apollo is finally sixteen and he celebrates with his best friends, Michelle, Braka and Dia. But other characters might just put dampers on the celebration. The seventh official long installment.


Aside from the main story, there are several side stories. They are canon and would be a good idea to read. But they are not terribly important to read to understand the main storyline. But they do dwell more on the characters.

Sinking into insanity: Explores the back history of the Turtotopia turtles. How they began, how emperor Donatello came to being.


Michelle's favorite song: Just a fatherly moment between Cyborg Raphael and little Michelle

Two brothers in love: Small insight on the love triangel between A-Leo, Luna and N-Don.

Brothers against brother - category: Collection of independent stories that focus mostly on Assassin Leonardo and his brothers.

The next generation - category: Collection of independent stories that happen post-Shattered Shells and focus mostly on the children; Silver, Obsidian, Michelle, Apollo and any other that might appear in future instalments.

Mystery Attacker: Mostly an explanation fic, to show that A-Leonardo doesn't always arrive at the time the show was going on for the turtles.

Mistake: A-Leo tells somebody about what he considered a mistake in his carreer.

Triple observation: Old Toon Leonardo and few other observe a startling change in New Toon Leonardo.

Recording: Magistrate Raphael finds few records and takes a little trip down memory lane.

Debate: Cyborg Raphael interrogates an accomplice of former Emperor Donatello.

A tale of Demolisher Raphael: An insight on the mind of the bomb happy demolition villain.

Why am I here?: The mechanical turtle wonders about his place in a world that might not accept him. Even if it is a world full of mutant turtles. Set pre-WTAS and post-Turtotopia

Of Turtles and Unstable Mutagen: The NT-Turtles and OT-turtles must team up once more as the Demolisher and the Ex-Emperor are causing havoc in the OT-World.

At the Reception: General Magistrate Raphael and Deputy Magistrate Michelangelo meet a humanoid turtle, Yang Kasahara and he doesn't seem to be a counterpart at all.

A Tale of Rogue Leonardo: Rogue seldom likes to talk about his past or his brothers. But sometimes the past has the nasty habit of sneaking up on you. A Post-TNC fic.

The fast forward story: The Fast Forward turtles are finally going home, the time window is working and everything is set. But then the Dark Turtles attack, causing a transportation not only through time but dimensional space as well. Post-TNC fic.

Is Tony a Robot?: Silver wonders about the human resident of the Mansion. Post-TNC one shot.

The Son: Assassin Leonardo finds out about Apollo. Post Shattered Shells oneshot

Shattered, but mending. As each of the four OT-Turtles still are still healing from their five months imprisonment at the hands of the assassin, each of them reflects a bit on the tortures they went through. But their own Master faces something else, yet similar when getting acquainted with his own counterpart. An in-between story for Shattered Shells.

Often, you are your own best friend. NT-Leonardo tells about the various counterparts he's met over the past three years. Post Chaos fic.

South of the border, down South Cabbat way: Movie Donatello narrates as he and his brothers return to Kalaria, to learn about the mysterious Southern Cabbats. A pre-Chaos fic.

The Early Morning: Movie Leonardo wakes up early and has a quiet morning with his family. - post double encounter fic.


Upcoming side stories(so far planned)

More fun in the sewers (working title): While the Leonardos are out looking for the secrets of the assassin. The remaining turtles run into few old friends and enemies of the letter-wearing gang. Post Chaos fic

The Family(working title): Few years after Chaos, NT-Don and NT-Leo go on a little trip to other universes, in one they meet a interesting family and the enemies they face. Post-Chaos fic





Right that covers the stories for now. The main villains of the Assassin series are these guys:

Assassin Leonardo: A mutant turtle who went bad at one point in his life, turned on his brothers and sensei and became a master assassin and bounty hunter as well as criminal mastermind. Extremely dangerous.

Emperor Donatello: Former overlord of Turtotopia. Brillians scientist and inventor. Went mad at one point in his life and became how he is to day. Extremely dangerous


There are couple of other villains both minor and big, these are the ones that have appeared so far.

Tony: The fiercely loyal servant of Assassin Leonardo: Dangerous.

Demolisher Raphael: Explosion and gun expert and very adept fighter. Pretty much a mercenary and can pretty much always be bought by money. Dangerous.

Mad Michelangelo: A counterpart of Michelangelo that went mad and now acts more like a feral wild animal than a sentient being. Mostly only dangerous if you bother him, the assassin or any others who follow the assassin.

General Murrow: Loyal general of Ex-Emperor Donatello and obeys him without question. Dangerous.

Clone Donatello AKA Nightmare Donatello: An old clone of Old Toon Donatello that was supposedly destroyed. But instead his essence traveled thousands of years back in time and possessed a computer, making it sentient. Is in essence now a sentient computer within a cybernetic body. Extremely dangerous.

The Terrible Turtle Centaur AKA Nightmare Raphael: A creature from a strange world inhabited by giant insects and arachnids. Has apparently known Nightmare Donatello for some time, and refers to him as an old friend. He feeds on people's fear by impaling cords from his mouth into them. Extremely dangerous.

The Leech AKA Nightmare Leonardo: A strange creature from another world and apparently a lieutenant of Nightmare Donatello. Has the ability to suck the very life out of anyone he attaches himself too. Extremely dangerous.

The Mudder AKA Nightmare Michelangelo: a creature that appears to be a sentient mud-hill and is a lieutenant of Nightmare Donatello. Feeds on people's pain and stimulates it by touching his victims. Extremely dangerous.

Alo: A Cabbat chief who's faced the Movie Turtles two times by now. Is very dangerous.

Sinda: A feared serial killer. An Ulfarian with no remorse who would attack anything for any reason. Appears to have some type of a connection to the Assassin. Extremely dangerous.


The Main heroes are these

The New toon TMNT: The first ninja mutants to be really exposed to the AU worlds, while others have only had some minot encounters. Consist of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.

The Old Toon TMNT: The second Ninja Mutant crew to be more exposed than usual to AU worlds. Consist of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo.

Movie (1,2) TMNT: The third Ninja Mutant crew to be exposed more to other AU worlds. Consist of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.

Ninja Master Donatello: The mute younger brother of Assassin Leonardo. As the title suggests, he's a skilled ninja but also a good engineer and weapons expert.

Deputy Magistrate Michelangelo: N-Don's twin brother and younger brother of Assassin Leonardo. Works as a Deputy Magistrate under General Magistrate Raphael.

General Magistrate Raphael: Older brother of N-Don and D-Mike but younger brother of A-Leo. Serves as an interdimensional general magistrate for his world.

Luna: A turtle woman who used to be a human. Apparently named Angel back then. Has little or no memory of it. N-Don's wife.


Here are the minor characters that have appeared so far:

Cyborg Raphael: Emperor Donatello's older brother, was changed into cyborg by E-Don. Pretty much a walking talking tank now, but with a heart of gold.

Turtotopia April: Ex-Wife of E-Don and current wife of Cyborg Raphael. Michelle's mother.

Michelle: Strichtly speaking the biological child of Luna. But April is considered the mother. Emperor Donatello's daughter and niece of Cyborg Raphael.

NT-Splinter: A mutant rat, sensei and father of the NT-TMNT crew.

OT-Splinter: A mutant rat, sensei and father of the OT-TMNT crew.

Movie-Splinter A mutant rat, sensei and father of the Movie-TMNT crew.

Jala: A Female rymska and Movie-Leonardo's wife. Mother of Braka and Dia.

Braka: A rymska boy Jala's child and adopted son of Movie-Raphael, sort of responsible of introducing the Movie-Turtles that other dimensions exist.

Dia Tang Shen: A rymska girl, Jala's child and adopted daughter of Movie-Leonardo.

Rogue Leonardo: A Leonardo counterpart with a very mysterious past. More of a neutral-leaning-to-good kind of person, is mainly interested in taking care of himself.

Jumper Leonardo AKA Lereth: A mysterious cyborg turtle with the incredible jumping abilities and capable of morphing his hands into most weapons.


The characters list is not set in stone, I might change it, move a minor character to the main list and a main character to the minor list.

I have decided to answer few questions in regards to the Assassin series here.

Warning, these questions and answers can contain spoilers.

You have now already shown at least three TMNT incarnations in the Assassin series, the Old Show, the New show and the Next mutation. Planning on bringing the other in as well?

I plan on showing A-Leo appear once in at least two more, the original Mirage comic universe and the Movie universe.

There will be a TMNT crew based on the Archie universe, but it will not be from the Archie universe itself.

As well as I am still considering writing a story that has the Image turtles, but it's not highly likely to happen.


Do you plan on keeping the Old toon turtles in contact with the NT turtles, what about your AU turtles?

As has been established in Shattered Shells, the NT-turtle crew will be little Michelle's extended family. With the four turtles as her uncles and Splinter as a grandfather. Cyborg Raphael has essentially began looking at them as his brothers, especially NT-Donatello.

The Assassin's world turtles as well will be in contact with the NT-turtles, and have actually been sincce WTAS. I am working on a one-shot that happens shortly after WTAS that has Ninja Master Don work with NT-Don about cracking the code to Luna's mutation. That story will explain why NT-Don now understands his Dogi clad counterpart's sign language.

And yes the plan is that the Old Toon turtles will in fact remain in contact with their NT-counterparts.


What about other incarnations

As I mentioned above, the Mirage Universe and the Movie universe is scheduled to appear. The NT-crew will meet the TMNT-crew from both these worlds. But whether they will remain in touch with them I have not decided yet.


Is Assassin Leonardo really bisexual?

Yeah I guess he is. He prefers women though, given the choice he would pick a woman over a man. But if nothing else is available, he isn't really squeamish. He's the type that takes what he can and is available for him.


What about the other turtles

Both Emperor Donatello and Demolisher Raphael are straight, but that doesn't mean we can't make slight jab and fun

As far as I know all the other turtles are heterosexual in other words. At least the turtles that have appeard so far.


Wait, doesn't that mean you have two characters, evil characters that are bi? (Sinda being the other one)

Erm, yes, I guess so. It's completely a coincident tough and no offense meant. I have bisexual characters that are good, though they haven't appeared in the Assassin series yet. In fact I have far more villains that are straight.


Where the heck are you going with this thing?

Strightly speaking the Assassin series is about Assassin Leonardo, this is his history. It is also a bit about Emperor Donatello.


Who is who? This is so confusing

I apologize if it's difficult to tell what turtle is what. But I actually use a fairly simple system. For the AU turtles, I almost always use their title in front of their names. Magistrate, Raphael, Ninja Master Donatello, Deputy Michelangelo, Assassin Leonardo for example.

The NT-turtles area almost always referred to in nicknames, Leo, Don, Raph and Mikey, in rare cases they are mentioned by full names. They are also referred to as the non-letter wearing turtles if close by the Old toon turtles

The Old Toon turtles area always addressed by full name, also referred to as the letter wearing turtles.

I actually do make it rather clear who is who in the stories, it's just a matter of paying a close attention, I usually try to make it obvious when we have switched to another turtle bearing the same name.


Why are you ignoring this and that, (last two seasons of the old show, the Ninja tribunal thing and fast forward for the new show for example)?

Not that many people today remember or have seen the old show. It's slowly being releashed on DVD form, but so far we have only gotten two and half seasons worth. Two season and half of season three that is. I decided to cut off the last two seasons of the old show mostly because it is remembered very poorly, some people hate those two, and because I will probably condradict it in the Assassin series. So I decided to just state it that I'm ignoring those two seasons.

The ninja tribunal thing and fast forward are ignored because neither has happened yet in regarding to the new show. The last ep of the fourth season leaves with a cliffhanger that won't be resolved until next year. I'll probably be in the middle of the fourth installment by then if not starting on the fifth. So the whole ninja tribunal thing will just get in my way. Also I am going to consider the Fast Forward bit as out of continuty for the New show for now. As well as it serves no purpose to the Assassin series.

I have not decided yet what will happen in regard to the Mirage universe or the Movie universe. Though it's likely I'll ignore the third movie as I usually do, I might skip Volume 4, if only because the storyline there is so involved and spread out it might just make it harder for the Mirage turtles to appear.

Updated the list, added the Otherworldly meeting series officially to the list as unpublished stories.

I am hoping to put up the first chapter this weekend.

The story will have slightly changed. The basic storyline will still be the same, but we will have few references to certain Black clad turtle

For one the three chapter epilgoue story "Journal of Jala" will cease to exist. I'll try to fit her story simply in the main body of the story.

"Encounter of the Wolfish kind" and "Encounter of the Turtle kind" will still be merged together into one story.

"Love of other worlds will probably then continue much as it was in unchanged format, but with few minor details added.

These stories, and especially Otherworldly meetings (now dubbed Prelude until I can find a better title) will serve as a prelude to the fifth instalment. Almost in a same manner and "A broken hero" did for "Shattered Shells."

Updating a bit the FAQ.

Wait, you're actually putting Fast Forward into the Assassin series?

Yes, a whole lot of things have changed since two years ago and I've come to realize that FF actually fits in perfectly. But instead of letting it happen to the NT-turtles I'm using, I'll just bring the NT-FF turtles in as counterparts.


What about the Ninja Tribunal thing?

That one is trickier. It is possible that I could let it happen to the NT-turtles, it would be a nightmare to bring another NT-version set of counterparts after bringing in the FF turtles. But in the context of the assassin series, I don't really need the Ninja Tribunal canon.

It's similar to what I did with the old toon turtles, the Assassin series Old Toon turtles do not have the last two seasons as canon to them. So I think I am safe to omit the Ninja Tribunal from the Assassin series NT turtles.

If I think of a way of getting away with it, I might bring it in. But don't hold your breath.


What's with the yoyoing Attila the turtle around like that.

My original intention was to make it canon in what happened in the RPGs in the OC/AU area of the forums. Where Attila the turtle and Rogue became a couple. So I figured I could get away with bringing Attila in, this also gave me a bit of an excuse to rewrite it so it would fit better with the Assassin series.

But as I began pondering about it, and then spotted my way to get the FF canon into the assassin series, I realized that this wouldn't work. Also it would bring to people a whole lot more of side/backstories they would have to read to understand the story where Attila and Rogue meet.

And I rather the side stories now focus on the already established Assassin series characters. And If I need to make a back story, that it is more for the different TMNT incarnations, not just yet another version of the NT-turtles.

How to recognize the different incarnations in the Assassin series

Ok it's obvious now that not only do I use different incarnations of the turtles in this series. But I do not have them looking exactly like each other. In fact I use the look they have from each incarnation. But here is a handy dandy guide to each of the incarnations of the Turtles and how they look like.

NT-Turtles

By now, their basic look is just like in the Fourth season of the New Toon. With some minor changes having happened. The voices are the same and in the new toon.

Leo: With the carapace wound, Pre-TNC was 5'2'' grew to 5'4'' during TNC. Has a surgial scar on his right temple that is hidden by the mask.

Raph: Pre-TNC was 5'2'' grew to 5'5''during TNC. With a surgial scar on his right temple that's hidden by the mask.

Don: Pre-TNC was 5'2'' grew to 5'4'' during TNC. Has a surgial scar on his right temple that's hidden by the mask. Also has a faint dot on his beak where the Cyborg used the needle on him.

Mikey: Pre-TNC was 5'2'' grew to 5'3'' during TNC. Has a surgial scar on his right temple that's hidden by the mask.


Old Toon Turtles.

Basic look is mostly taken from the sixth and seventh season of the Old toon, when the animation became a bit more consistant in terms of how the turtles looked like. The Old toon turtles, especially two of them have gone through a bit more transformation than their NT- counterparts. Voices are the same, though Leonardo's voice has become softer.

Leonardo: 5' tall. The most changed of them all, is riddled in scars, especially on his shoulders and arms. Also has an ugly dent on the middle of his plastron. Since Shattered shells, now wears a gear similar to the NT turtles, just blue in color, safe the belt.

Raphael: 5' tall. Has a scar on his shoulder, but otherwise has not changed much. Since Shattered shells, now wears a gear similar to the NT turtles, just red in color, safe the belt.

Donatello: 5'2'' tall. In Shattered shells, grew two inches and got denser skin and thicker plastron and carapace. Beak is also wider and he's several times stronger than even the NT-turtles. Since Shattered shells, now wears a gear similar to the NT turtles, just purple in color, safe the belt.

Michelangelo: 5' tall. Has an obvious scar on his thigh after a sword and a surgial scar on his right temple hidden by the mask. Also has a fainter scars after needles. Since Shattered shells, now wears a gear similar to the NT turtles, just orange in color, safe the belt.


Movie turtles

Altough in the assassin series, movie 2 is canon to these turtles. The basic apperance of the turtles and voices come from Movie 1. So picture movie 1 turtles and the voices from there to get the right basic look. Also I consider them a bit taller than their toon counterparts.

Leonardo: 5'6'', has a scar on his cheek that goes down towards the neck after a sword. Carapace edges where they peek over the shoulders are chipped and damaged after bullets.

Raphael: 5'6'', looks exactly like Move 1 Raphael.

Donatello: 5'5'', looks exactly like Movie 1 Donatello.

Michelangelo: 5'4'', looks exactly like Movie 1 Michelangelo.


Those are at least the major incarnations. I'll add others as the assassin series processes and more incarnations are introduced in the main storyline.

More fun with questions.

WARNING: Here be spoilers.

How can Master Kayr be responsible for Silver and Obsidian being adopted by the Assassin.

As was hinted in chapter 18, Master Kayr has quite a bit of control over A-Leo and can even reach him through telepathic means between different dimensions. There is more to this power hungry Ulfarian than we have seen so far and we've only really seen small tidbits of his relationship with the assassin.

But even so, Kayr didn't order A-Leo to adopt the boys. When it turned out that the clones couldn't be made full grown. Master Kayr sent via telepathy a suggestion that A-Leo adopt them as his sons, but so it looked almost like it was A-Leo's idea all along. A-leo would still have the choice, but yeah the idea was conceived by his master.


Is A-Leo then brainwashed?

No not really, but he came to Master Kayr's temple very traumatized and thus far more receptive to Kayr's methods of training his students.


If Sinda is such a well known rapist, why did Kayr send HIM to abduct the assassin?

Let's just say that the story Master Kayr told the Michelangelos was only half the truth

Well it's Christmas still in some countries, though as I begin typing this it's midnight for me and thus technically speaking Boxing day

So as a special Christmas bonus, here are few more questions answered that you might or might not have wanted answered.


So was this Dular really that involved with what happened in all five official installments currently out?

Well no not all of them really, the events of Turtotopia and When the Assassin strikes were all planned out and executed by Assassin Leonardo. At this time Clone Cyborg Donatello was still only "downloading" the images of the NT-Turtle crew to use it for himself and his three lieutenants.

Strictly speaking the clone didn't get directly involved until Shattered Shells, yes it was in fact to the credit of Clone Donatello that A-Leo went to Krang and offered his service to rid the brain alien of the turtles he hated. A-leo was cooking up some revenge after last defeat and well Clone Donatello effectively handed it over to him on a silver platter.

By this time though Dular had become busy elsewhere with other things, so he wasn't quite following what his servant was doing, it wasn't until the Nightmare Codes when the Turtle Centaur accidentally linked A-Leo for a split second with Sakuma, the Dark One, that Dular remembered this particular servant and what he was supposed to do. Even Feki can forget

So Clone Donatello, and in a manner of Speaking Dular since the Feki was responsible for how the clone ended up like, is responsible for the events of Shattered Shells, the Nightmare Codes and Chaos in the Underworld. Using A-Leo and others as pawns in their plans.


Was all of this planned that much in advance?

Weeeellllll only partly. When I wrote the first two instalments of the Assassin series, I was still not sure where I was going with the series, at most I knew that I was writing the story of Assassin Leonardo and later on I would have to reveal why he was who he was.

It wasn't until I had begun to really write out Shattered Shells that everything just clicked and I knew what I wanted to do with this series. Originally though I was going to use another Feki, but I changed it to Dular a year later because he just fit in so nicely and made more sense to use.

By the time I had finished writing Shattered Shells, I knew exactly where I were heading and knew the general gist of the rest of the seven long official installments. So we could almost say that Shattered Shells is the point where things REALLY started to get planned out.


Chaos doesn't really have that um much action for this and that character. What gives?

To put it frankly, we were seeing the Assassin in one of his "calm" periods. He isn't constantly hunting counterparts and he isn't constantly tormenting his brothers. He has those "calm" periods where well he nearly acts decent.

Didn't help that he landed himself into a job with Akre, who really does have tight reins on anyone who works for him. He had all but ordered Assassin Leonardo to continue being "calm".

I actually had to have A-Leo in this "calm" mood because well this was story with a gigantic cast of characters and the main plot was finding which one of the Underworld lords was causing this unrest and why.

So the attention was evenly divided as much as possible between the various cast members, causing this fic to even more out things, especially since we had to follow several different threads of the plot.

Also I wanted to avoid writing too much angst and torture and torment, I had done it in two Official installments in a row, Shattered Shells and The Nightmare Codes. I wanted to calm down a little bit in that regard in the Fifth Installment. As well this story gave me an opportunity to show just how damn large the storyworld is, so far we had only been playing in one corner of it, in this fic I exposed more of the "house" so to speak.

But don't worry, the cast will shrink a bit again in the next two official installments. We could call Chaos a bit of a test run for me, because when the Eight official installment comes along, we are going to see again just how damn big the world of the Assassin series is

That story really needs to be finished, I well agree. But I think I need to switch some gears with it and re-plan it from scratch, oh don't worry I'm keeping the chapters up that I already have written, but I might need to do something else than I originally planned with this fic.
